Everything you need to know about Deuce, answered straight.
General
What is Deuce?
Deuce is a platform for amateur tennis and padel: it lets you discover local tournaments, organise singles or doubles matches, connect with other players and track your progress.
Which sports can I play on Deuce?
Tennis and padel. For both you can play and organise singles as well as doubles, in tournaments and in direct matches.
Is Deuce free?
Yes, everything is completely free during the launch phase. Sign up with the code LANCIO26 and you get 2 free passes to use once the app goes paid.
Which devices are supported?
Deuce is available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play).
Using the app
How do I join a tournament?
Open Deuce, go to the Explore section, find a tennis or padel tournament near you and tap Join. If the tournament is open, you are added to the bracket automatically.
How do I find players to compete against?
Search for players in your area with the Radar feature, or create a match directly and invite an opponent.
Can I play matches outside tournaments?
Yes, you can create direct matches independent of any tournament, in singles or doubles, in both tennis and padel. These matches can be ranked or unranked.
How do I track my progress?
Your profile shows the history of every match you played, the points you collected and your position in the national and local ranking.
How do levels work?
Levels go from 1.0 (absolute beginner) to 6.0 (professional), with half levels in between. You do a short self-assessment when you sign up, then your level moves with your results. Tennis and padel have separate levels: the first time you play padel the app asks you to assess yourself for that sport.
Can I enter a doubles event without a partner?
Yes. Sign up on your own and leave the partner slot open, and the app pairs you with another player. If you do have a partner, you invite them and they confirm.
Where do you play?
When you create a match you pick the club from the list. If yours is missing you add it in a minute: name, address, city, province and the sports played there. From the match page the address opens straight in maps.
How is a match result recorded?
One of you enters the score, the other confirms or rejects it. Until it is confirmed the result awards no ranking points: nobody can record a win on their own.
What is the difference between the chats?
There are three: Direct Messages with another player, Match Chat tied to a single match, and Team Chat for your doubles pair or your team in a Team Deathmatch.
Can I read old messages in a chat?
Yes. Inside a conversation you can scroll the whole history, including messages from months back: nothing gets cut off.
What is a Master tournament?
It is the tier for advanced players, from level 4.0 to 6.0. It is not a different format: it is played like any other tournament, only who can enter changes.
